Juanita Eileen (Ashmore) Kershaw

Juanita Eileen Kershaw, 91, of HIllsboro, IL passed away Thursday, October 1, 2015 at 6:17 p.m. at Montgomery Nursing & Rehab Center in Taylor Springs, IL.  A visitation will be held Saturday, October 3, 2015 from 10:00 a.m.  to 11:00 a.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro, IL.  Funeral services will be held Saturday, at 11:00 a.m., at the funeral home.  Rev. Mike Skinner and Mark Noyes will officiate.  Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Hillsboro, IL.

Mrs. Kershaw was born on February 1, 1924, in Charleston, IL, to the late Charles & Diccie Belle (Darling) Ashmore.  She was a graduate of HIllsboro High School.  She married Earl Leo Kershaw, Jr., on June 11, 1943, in Washington, D.C.. He preceded her in death on October 7, 2001.  Mrs. Kershaw had worked as a clerk at P.N. Hirsch in Hillsboro, IL.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hillsboro, IL.  She loved spending time with her family an being a grandmother.

Mrs. Kershaw is survived by her children, Linda (husband, Gene) Govaia of Hillsboro, IL; Marvin (wife, Sandra) Kershaw of Hillsboro, IL & Stephen (wife, Debbie) Kershaw of Virden, IL; ten grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, 15 great great grandchildren and brother, Harry Ashmore of Tennessee.  Along with her parents and husband she was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Irene Hall, Frank Ashmore, Dallas Ashmore & Norma Jones.
