Jewel "Judy" L (Lewey) Bleeker

Jewel L. "Judy" Bleeker, 96, of Taylor Springs, IL, passed away on Tuesday, July 18, 2017, at 4:15 a.m. at Hillsboro Area Hospital, Hillsboro, IL.  Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, July 26, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. at Donnellson Cemetery, Donnellson, IL.  Rev. Randy Sands, Pastor of Free Methodist Church, Hillsboro, IL will officiate.

Mrs. Bleeker was born on May 27, 1921, in Donnellson, IL, to the late Nolan and Ada (Kimbro) Lewey.  She was a 1939 graduate of Hillsboro High School, Hillsboro, IL.  She married Fred Bleeker on January 17, 1942, in Chicago, IL, and he preceded her in death on March 25, 1965.  During her lifetime she lived in Donnellson, IL until age of 18, moved to Chicago for 2 years, then to California before returning to Chicago in 1966.  Mrs. Bleeker had worked in Data Processing for Chicago Northwestern Railroad for 27 years, retiring in 1991.  She was a member of Donnellson Presbyterian Church, Donnellson, IL.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by one son, John S. Bleeker, on March 26, 1997.
