Ila Mae (Johnson) Green of Hillsboro, died October 6, 2015 at Hillsboro Rehab and Health Care Center. Graveside services will be held on Friday, October 9, 2015, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery, Nokomis, IL. Pastor Karl Wellnitz, Pastor of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Hillsboro will officiate. There will be no visitation. Family and friends will gather at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home, Hillsboro, on Friday, October 9, 2015, at 10:15 a.m. to proceed to the cemetery.
Ila was born July 9, 1926, to Edward T. and Clara D. (Shoraga) Johnson of Nokomis. She graduated from Nokomis High School with the Class of 1944. She was twice married and divorced. She is a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Hillsboro.
She is survived by two daughters, Carol (Dave) Hobbie, Hillsboro, IL; Cathy (John) Duff, Ft. Myers, FL; and two sons, Brad Green, Hillsboro, IL and Brent (Veronica) Green, Hillsboro, IL; six grandchildren, Alan Hobbie, Hillsboro, IL; Eric (Molly) Hobbie, Springfield, IL; Courtney and Jason Duff, Ft. Myers, FL; Shane Green and Michelle Stanczak; four great grandchildren, Mark Hobbie, Bloomington, IL; Gretchen Hobbie, Hillsboro, IL; Brian and Megan Hobbie, Springfield, IL; one niece, Julie McKittrick, Pana, IL and two nephews, Lee and Mark Eilers, Tower Hill, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Iola McKittrick and Myrna Oller, and infant sister, Melba Johnson; daughter-in-law, Julie Green; daughter, Sandra Leverone; and infant great grandson, Jay Duff.
Ila had many jobs in her lifetime, including selling Sarah Coventry Jewelry; working for Plunkett Insurance and as a CNA at Hillsboro Hospital. She loved to cook and enjoyed her flower gardens.
Memorials are suggested to Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Hillsboro, IL.
