Henry Mack Weiss, 81, of Hillsboro, IL passed on Friday, January 19, 2018, at 10:38 p.m. at his residence. Cremation rites were accorded. A Memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 23, 2018, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro, IL. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, January 24, 2018, at 11:00 a.m., at the funeral home. Mark Noyes, of Hillsboro, IL, will officiate.
Mr. Weiss was born on August 19, 1936, in Greenville, IL, to the late Henry & Dorothy (Meyer) Weiss. He is a Graduate of Roxana High School in Roxana, IL and complete electrician training. Mr. Weiss married Shirley Korunka on November 16, 1957 at the Methodist Church in Mt. Olive, IL. She survives in Hillsboro, IL. He was a member of I.B.E.W. Electrical Local; loved antique cars; playing cards and loved working on his electric bicycle. He never met a stranger and loved visiting with people. Mr. Weiss had lived in Roxana, IL; Meadowbrook, IL & Hillsboro, IL.
Mr. Weiss is survived by his wife, Shirley; three children, Vicki (husband Charlie) Daniels, Witt, IL; Tom (wife Lori) Weiss, Hillsboro, IL and John (wife Linda) Weiss, Hillsboro, IL; six grandchildren, Kaci Clayton (Companion, Kris Schuler) of Farmersville, IL; Lauren (husband, Jake) Codemo of CA; Jake (wife, Lynette) Weiss of Hillsboro, IL; Matt (wife Jen) Weiss of Hillsboro, IL; Heather (husband Ben) Spangler of Irving, IL and Nathan Weiss (Fiancé Alyssa Sample) of Springfield, MO; twelve great grandchildren & two brothers, David Weiss of Peoria, IL & Roger Weiss of Wood River, IL. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Faye Weiss.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to American Diabetes Association or P.A.W.S. Care.
