Henry M. "Bud" Snoddy, 85, of Schram City, IL, passed away on Wednesday, January 31, 2018, at 8:20 a.m. at his residence. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 2, 2018, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home, Hillsboro, IL. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home, Hillsboro, IL. Burial will take place in St. Barbara's Cemetery, Witt, IL. Rev. James Hayes, Pastor of St. James Baptist Church, Hillsboro, IL, will officiate. Family requests casual dress.
Mr. Snoddy was born on May 31, 1932 in Montgomery County, IL to the late Lillian Guiher and raised by his late grandparents, Bill and Fanny Snoddy. He attended Coffeen Schools, Coffeen, IL and worked as a trash hauler and a school bus driver for several years for the Hillsboro School District, Hillsboro, IL. He was in the U.S. Navy and was stationed in Japan. Mr. Snoddy lived in Montgomery County, IL his entire lifetime. He married Marilyn Miller on September 4, 1958 at St. Barbara's Catholic Church, Nokomis, IL.
Mr. Snoddy is survived by his wife, Marilyn; two children, John Snoddy of Hillsboro, IL and Ronald (wife Crystal) Snoddy of Hillsboro, IL; ex-daughter-in-law, Terri Snoddy of Hillsboro, IL; two grandchildren, Ridge Snoddy and Kenna Snoddy; two step-grandchildren, Jordyn Finley and Dalton Finley; and one step-great-grandchild, Braxton Finley.
Mr. Snoddy was also preceded in death by a brother, Gene Garland.
