Glenn Myers Paden

Glenn Myers Paden, 87, of Hillsboro, IL passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2016, at 6:10 p.m. at Montgomery Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Taylor Springs, IL.  Visitation will be held on Friday, September 23, 2016, from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home, Hillsboro, IL.  Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 23, 2016, at 12:00 p.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home.  Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.  Rev. Matt Ferguson, Pastor of First Presbyterian Church, Hillsboro, IL will officiate.

Mr. Paden was born on November 17, 1928, in Hillsboro, IL to the late Albert "Bert" and Pansy (Myers) Paden.  He worked for Macon County Soil Conservation after completing 2 years of college at Blackburn College and was also a retired farmer.  Mr. Paden married Dottie Mullen on July 28, 1956, in Waggoner, IL.  He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Hillsboro, IL; Montgomery County Farm Bureau, Montgomery County Soil Conservation, where he served as Director.  Mr. Paden served in the Army in Germany during the Korean Conflict.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Paden is survived by one son, Bret (wife Shirley) Paden, Collinsville, IL; one daughter, Jill Paden, Hillsboro, IL; two granddaughters, Rachel (husband Scott) Mans, Maryville, IL; Monica Paden, Madison, WI; two grandsons, Camden and Devin Mans; one brother, John M. (wife Patty) Paden, Hillsboro, IL.

Mr. Paden was preceded in death by one brother, Carl Paden and one sister, Bonnie Van Meter.

Memorials may be given to Alzheimer's Association or First Presbyterian Church, Hillsboro, IL.
