Donald "Don" Lee Munos, 82, of Hillsboro, IL passed away on Sunday, September 17, 2017, at 6:50 p.m. at Integrity Healthcare of Wood River, Wood River, IL. A Memorial Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 20, 2017, from 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, September 20, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home, Hillsboro, IL. Rev. Ralph Ward, Hillsboro, IL, will officiate.
Mr. Munos was born on June 2, 1935, in Hillsboro, IL to the late John N. and Eunice (Morain) Munos. He was a graduate of Hillsboro High School, Hillsboro, IL. He married Darlene Miller, and they later divorced. He married Kari Altevogt, on January 25, 1985, in Coffeen, IL, and she survives in Hillsboro, IL. Mr. Munos worked as a meter man and water superintendent in Sorento, Hillsboro and Coffeen and worked at Wright Automotive. He enjoyed walking around town, spending time with his family and was a Litchfield Volunteer Fireman.
Mr. Munos is also survived by four children, Steve (wife Diann) Munos, Gillespie, IL; Donna Jett, Belleville, IL; Leigh Ann (husband Tony) Long, Litchfield, IL and Danielle (husband Chris) Bowden, Oswego, IL; nine grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Munos was preceded in death by two brothers, John "Stubbs" Munos and Jim Munos.
