David Henry Boas, 63, of Hillsboro, IL passed away on Monday, March 2, 2015, at 11:45 a.m. at Hillsboro Area Hospital, Hillsboro, IL. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home, Hillsboro, IL. Father Dan Willenborg, Pastor of St. Louis Catholic Church, Nokomis, IL will officiate.
Mr. Boas was born on September 18, 1951, in Hillsboro, IL to the late Henry M. and Joan Agnes (Sherer) Boas. He was a 1969 graduate of Hillsboro High School, Hillsboro, IL. David worked at ASARCO Smelter in Taylor Springs, IL until it closed and helped his Dad farm. He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church, Coffeen, IL.
Survivors include three sisters, Judy (husband Glen) Burleson, Litchfield, IL; Jane (husband Randy) Schmidt, Pittsboro, IN; Janet (husband Tim) Crowley, Sewell, NJ and special friend, Teresa McHenry, Hillsboro, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
