Billie Dean O'Guinn

Billie Dean O'Guinn, 81, of Hillsboro, IL passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2015, at 2:45 a.m. at Hillsboro Area Hospital, Hillsboro, IL.  Visitation will take place on Tuesday, June 23, 2015, from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, Hillsboro, IL.  Funeral services will be on Wednesday, June 24, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, Hillsboro, IL.  Rev. Jeff Hemken, Pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, Hillsboro, IL and Rev. Randy Sands, Pastor of Free Methodist Church, Hillsboro, IL will officiate.  Burial will take place on Thursday, June 25, 2015, at 1:00 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Memorial Cemetery, Rural Murphysboro, IL.

Mr. O'Guinn was born on October 21, 1933, in Murphysboro, IL to the late Thomas Arthur and Millie (Fleming) O'Guinn.  He married Bonnie Holliday, on June 6, 1964 at the Nazarene Church in Murphysboro, IL.  She survives in Hillsboro, IL.  He was a 1954 graduate of Murphysboro High School, Murphysboro, IL and served in the United States Army from 1954 to 1956.  Mr. O'Guinn is a retired coal miner having worked at the coal mine in Coffeen, IL and the Rend Lake Coal Mine in Sesser, IL.  He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Hillsboro, IL and Goldwing Road Riders Association.

In addition to his wife, Bonnie, he is survived by three children, Lori Ann (husband Mike) Beeler, Irving, IL; Dan (wife Sandy) O'Guinn, Hillsboro, IL and Angela Renee Compagni, Hillsboro, IL; eight (8) grandchildren; three (3) great grandchildren and one sister, Joyce Yearian, Elkville, IL.

Beside his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Darrell Wayne O'Guinn; two brothers, Norman O'Guinn and Jack O'Guinn; and three sisters, Geraldine Fager; Albertine Coleman and Doris Fox.

Memorials may be given to Calvary Baptist Church, Hillsboro, IL or Montgomery County Cancer Association.
