Audrey A. Martin, 90, of Witt died Monday, July 11, 2016 in Hillsboro Rehab & Health Care Center. Funeral service will be Saturday, July 16, 2016 in the Hillsboro Free Methodist Church at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Randy Sands officiating. Burial will be in Witt Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Hillsboro Free Methodist Church.
She was born February 7, 1926 in rural Nokomis, the daughter of the late Gordy Bruce & Bertha Rowena (Megaw) Ryan. A graduate of Taylorville High School, she lived most of her life in the Buckeye area & Witt. She was a member of the Cornerstone Christian Fellowship, Witt. Audrey was a homemaker and had worked at Hillsboro Hospital in the office for several years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, & flowers. Audrey A. Ryan and LeRoy M. Martin were united in marriage on June 21, 1946 in Buckeye Methodist Church. He preceded her in death in February 1973.
She is survived by her children: Edward L. Martin & wife Carole, Witt, IL; Suzanne Weller & husband Gary, Witt, IL; Deborah K. Bruce & husband Rod, Crystal River, FL; James R. Martin & wife Sharon, Witt, IL; Jeffrey C. Martin & wife Lorraine, Nokomis, IL and Jay L. Martin & wife Becki, Witt, IL; 18 grandchildren: Schelli Sanders, Stacie Merano, Ted Martin, Jeremy Weller, Joshua Weller, Jason Weller, Mindy Weed, Dawn Lofley, Roddy Bruce, Gabe Martin, Michelle Kahle, Lisa Martin, Jessica Martin, Bethany Stuhlman, Ben Martin, Daniel Martin, David Martin, Andrew Martin; and by 28 great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a great grandson, Camden Michael Weller and her brothers James Elsworth Ryan & Bruce Elegene Ryan.
