Allen Wayne Wessell

Allen Wayne Wessell, age 59, of Coffeen, IL, passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2015 at 9:55 p.m. at Memorial Medical Center, Springfield, IL. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Toberman-Dean Funeral Home, Coffeen, IL, with Rev. Eugene Dunkley, Pastor of Free Methodist Church, Coffeen, officiating.  Visitation will be on Monday, June 15, 2015 from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery, Coffeen IL.

Allen was born to the late Arthur C. and Shiloh I. (Yoho) Wessell, Jr. on December 24, 1955 at Frankfort Indiana. Service to his country was with the U.S. Army in the 42nd Maintenance Co., USAREUR, as a tow truck operator in Germany. He then worked as a truck driver and most recently as a security guard at the Coffeen Power Station. He enjoyed telling jokes.

His marriage to Linda Alexander took place in Taylor Springs, IL on October 5, 2013 and she survives in Coffeen.  Also surviving are children, Ethan E. Wessell and Kendra Wessell, both of Coffeen, IL; brother, Robert Kyle (wife Vonna) Wessell, Coffeen, IL and sister, Patricia Ann (Wessell) Petcher, Donnellson, IL.  Preceding in death was a brother, Kammy D. Wessell in 1982.
